Arvin Tolentino signs one-year deal with Brgy. Ginebra

It’s official. Arvin Tolentino is now a Gin King.

The 24-year old Tolentino, who was chosen by Brgy. Ginebra as the 10th overall pick in the 2019 PBA regular draft, has been signed to a one-year rookie contract by the Tim Cone-mentored squad in a move which was confirmed by his agent Charlie Dy through a post on his Instagram account.

Tolentino, who won the Rookie of the Year award in UAAP Season 77 while still playing for Ateneo de Manila, spent his last three collegiate years as a member of the Far Eastern University Tamaraws and posted averages of 12.8 points and 5.0 rebounds in his final season.

The 6-foot-5 forward also saw action for Batangas and Nueva Ecija in the MPBL and had combined averages of 6.2 points and 5.0 boards per outing.

Tolentino is expected to provide Brgy. Ginebra with more options on the offensive end as the incoming rookie has shown his willingness it mix it up down low along with his ability to shoot from long distance.
