Bay Area def Brgy. Ginebra, 99-82 [Finals Game 2 | Season 47 Comm’s Cup | Dec. 28, 2022]
The burden of adjustments is on the Bay Area Dragons.
For the Barangay Ginebra Kings, the question is how quick they will read the adjustments and make the counter moves.
The excitement seemingly is just about to begin with each side looking to play their best game in their last outing in the year.
Coach Tim Cone and his Gin Kings hope to head to 2023 with a commanding 2-0 lead while coach Brian Goorjian and his troops seek equalizer as the PBA Commissioner’s Cup best-of-seven title playoff swings over to the Smart Araneta Coliseum for Game 2 Wednesday night.
A crowd of over 18,252 stood as witness at the MOA Arena as the Kings blasted the Dragons, 96-81, in the series opener on Christmas Day.
It’s Bay Area’s only fourth loss in the tourney. In their three previous defeats, the Dragons showed their great ability to rebound big time. And definitely that is not lost on the Gin Kings.
“Siguradong mas mahirap ang Game 2,” said LA Tenorio, noting the Dragons set the pace most of the first half and they seized control just late in the third period.
The Dragons knew what hit them.
