Brgy. Ginebra def TNT, 95-78 [Finals Game 4 | PBA S49 Comm’s Cup | Mar. 21, 2025]

With or without Justin Brownlee, Barangay Ginebra is poised to charge ahead and face off against TNT, albeit with a notable handicap.

Rookie guard RJ Abarrientos and veteran forward Troy Rosario both recognized the significant void left by Brownlee following the dislocated thumb he suffered in Game 3 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals.

As uncertainty looms over the health status of the prolific import leading into Friday’s pivotal Game 4, the entire Kings roster is gearing up to embrace the challenge of competing with an all-Filipino lineup against a Tropang Giga squad featuring one of the most dynamic reinforcements in PBA history, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

In Brownlee’s absence during a nail-biter against the Tropang Giga, the Kings fell just short, losing 87-85, and now find themselves trailing 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

Despite fielding an all-Filipino team, the Kings proved they could compete fiercely, even taking a slim lead of 82-80 as the game approached its final two minutes at the Philsports Arena.

However, the Tropang Giga responded with a decisive 7-0 run, highlighted by Rey Nambatac’s clutch corner three-pointer, which ultimately secured TNT’s lead at 85-82.

It’s this spirited effort in the face of adversity that fuels Ginebra’s optimism, suggesting they can rise to the occasion not only in the upcoming match but throughout the remainder of the series.

For Barangay Ginebra, this situation embodies their enduring mantra: “Never-Say-Die.”
