Japeth Aguilar enters PBA bubble
The cast is finally complete for Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel.
Japeth Aguilar arrived Thursday at the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga just in time for the Gin Kings’ season opener against Yeng Guiao and the NLEX Road Warriors on Sunday, October 11 at the Angeles University Foundation gym.
The 6-foot-9 Aguilar, who is a native of Sasmuan, Pampanga, will have to undergo a 2-day room quarantine and can only join the team once the result of his swab test comes out negative.
“He is still under room quarantine for the next couple of days, so we’re waiting for him to join practice,” disclosed head coach Tim Cone.
The 33-year old high-flyer arrived just a day after another key player entered the bubble. Unlike Aguilar, however, Brgy. Ginebra chief playmaker LA Tenorio is listed as questionable for the game on Sunday as he has yet to be cleared by his doctor.
Tenorio underwent an appendectomy just last week and his playing status is considered as day-to-day since it normally takes two weeks to fully recover from the said surgery, putting his ‘Iron Man’ feat of 641 consecutive games played in peril.
