LA Tenorio, Brgy. Ginebra not yet ready to go home: ‘We’re planning to stay here until Dec. 13’

LA Tenorio and the rest of the Brgy. Ginebra Gin Kings have no intentions of going home, not until the PBA has crowned a champion for the 2020 Philippine Cup.

The 36-year old native of Nasugbu, Batangas admitted that he is not yet prepared to leave the league bubble. And with that said, the 3-time PBA Finals MVP vowed to go all out in Game 5 of their best-of-five semifinal series with the Meralco Bolts which is set on Friday, November 27, 6:30 pm at the Angeles University Foundation Sports Arena and Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga.

“It’s win or go home. I’m used to being here na. Medyo komportable na ako rito, so sana makapag-stay pa rito for the next two weeks,” said Tenorio.

The crowd darlings actually had a chance to wrap up the series in Game 4 but a costly non-call during the closing seconds of the match paved the way for Meralco to force a rubber match.

Tenorio, however, is moving forward and is now focused on the all-important match which will determine who will advance to the championship round of the compressed All-Filipino conference.

“It’s always like that naman kahit saang liga, hindi lang sa PBA,” explained Tenorio on the referees’ failure to call an automatic foul on John Pinto for holding on to his jersey.

“We’re planning to stay here until Dec. 13, so hopefully makuha namin,” he added.
