LA Tenorio will not be part of the group workouts, says Tim Cone
Brgy. Ginebra chief playmaker LA Tenorio will not be taking part in the squad’s group workouts which started Tuesday morning at the Upper Deck Gym in Pasig City.
Gin Kings head coach Tim Cone bared that the 36-year old native of Nasugbu, Batangas will instead work out by himself as he has been excused from joining the team activities due to the pregnancy of his wife Chesca who is due to give birth anytime next month.
“Yes, sa Upper Deck din naman ako mag-train pero 1-on-1 muna ako hanggang sa manganak si misis siguro. Isang trainer namin ang mag-assist sa akin,” confirmed Tenorio through a text message to Manila Bulletin.
The 14-year PBA veteran added that they are expecting a baby girl this time after three boys – Santi (8), Sian (7) and Lucas (3).
Tenorio is hoping that nothing untoward happens during the group workouts and that this would eventually pave the way for the resumption of the 2020 Philippine Cup which has been suspended since March 11.
“Hopefully talaga mag-work itong ‘semi-bubble’ na gagawin namin sa isa’t isa. I’m just hoping and praying na maging successful ito kasi ito ang maging stepping stone ng PBA para makapag-games na din.”
