PBA eyeing Batangas City as possible training venue for teams

The PBA is now considering Batangas City as possible training venue for teams while the National Capital Region is still under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

Commissioner Willie Marcial bared that he will speak with local government officials regarding the league’s desire to hold training sessions in their province.

Batangas is currently under the more relaxed General Community Quarantine (GCQ) which allows practices in small groups.

May tatlong wooden court doon. Baka puwedeng magpractice yung mga teams, depende sa oras,” said Marcial during a virtual presser on Thursday.

The idea was broached by Chua who cited Batangas’ proximity to Metro Manila.

“In Batangas, they have three wooden courts. It depends kung papayagan. At least makapag-start na,” said Chua.

Ginebra team governor.
