Scottie Thompson’s first World Balance signature sneaker to be released soon

Scottie Thompson has become the talk of the town once again after local shoe brand World Balance teased the public with the first signature ‘World Balance Scottie 1’ shoe which will be rolling out in the market very soon.

After the first unveiling of the logo for the Brgy. Ginebra star’s shoe line last April, the renowned sports footwear and apparel brand World Balance has revealed a glimpse of the upcoming sneaker’s silhouette, which appears to be in a red, white, and black colorway.

The World Balance Scottie 1 is designed to pay homage to Thompson’s basketball career, being one of the most explosive cagers of the current generation of PBA players, including his journey from high school in Digos City until his college with Perpetual Help in the NCAA.

The former Altas etched his name in the history books as he became the first PBA player to sign with World Balance since PBA legend Philip Cezar.

“The sports industry is saturated by big brand players, but I choose a trustworthy local brand that provides quality and affordable shoes to the Pinoys,” said Thompson.

“I know that with World Balance, I would have so much input creatively with my own signature basketball shoe, and hopefully provide the right gear to the aspiring Filipino athletes, whether they are playing on the streets, court, or campus,” he added.

The 28-year-old guard admitted that he was honored to be among the few PBA players to have their own shoe line, which has been his ultimate dream since when he was a kid.

“It really resonated with me to know that I could humbly represent and wear one of our own homegrown brands while playing on big arenas every game season, “yun ang may impact para sa akin,” Thompson uttered.

Meanwhile, World Balance said on Friday that Thompson is one of those people who dared to face the challenges and conquered them through hardwork, discipline, and faith.

“Three words that define him as a player and an individual. Three words that served as his mantra and etched on the heel of his signature shoe, the World Balance Scottie 1 which will be released very soon,” the local shoe brand said in a statement.

Moreover, the signature shoe by the PBA’s Mr. Do-it-All will be released at WB boutique stores, leading department stores, and the official website of World Balance.
