Stanley Pringle can’t wait to share the floor with new Gin King Christian Standhardinger

Stanley Pringle is looking forward to Brgy. Ginebra’s quest to defend the Philippine Cup crown.

The 32-year old Fil-Am is raring to return to action especially now that the crowd darlings have with them a player capable of making tremendous impact on both ends of the court.

“He’s a winner and he’s gonna play hard,” said Pringle on Gilas Pilipinas teammate Christian Standhardinger who was just recently acquired from NorthPort in exchange for Greg Slaughter.

“I played with him in Gilas and 3-on-3, so he’s gonna do what it takes to win, do what he can to help the team win, for sure. He’s a good player,” added the 2015 PBA Rookie of the Year.

The duo played together for the national team during the 2018 FIBA 3×3 World Cup at the Philippine Arena. They joined forces anew in Indonesia as the Philippine team finished 5th in the 2018 Asian Games.

Pringle and Standhardinger then took turns serving as naturalized player for Gilas during the fourth and fifth windows of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Their final team-up happened during the 30th Southeast Asian Games in Manila and it paid dividends as the national team took home the men’s basketball gold medal, the country’s 13th consecutive in the biennial regional meet.

Aside from the 6-foot-8 Fil-German, other new faces in the Gin Kings’ roster are rookies Brian Enriquez and Ken Sagulo and free agent pick-up MJ Ayaay.
