Tim Cone confirms arrival of LA Tenorio inside PBA bubble
Brgy. Ginebra got an additional boost with the arrival of chief playmaker LA Tenorio, Wednesday at the Quest Hotel in Clark, Pampanga.
The arrival of the 36-year old native of Nasugbu, Batangas leaves Japeth Aguilar as the only Gin King missing inside the PBA bubble.
Head coach Tim Cone confirmed through a text message that Tenorio has indeed arrived just 4 days before the team takes on the NLEX Road Warriors in the opening day of the 2020 Philippine Cup restart. The league’s winningest mentor added that Aguilar is expected to enter the bubble on Thursday.
Tenorio is required to undergo mandatory room quarantine and will only be allowed to join his teammates once the result of his swab test comes out negative.
There’s talk, however, that the 3-time PBA Finals MVP won’t be able to play in the team’s first game since he underwent an appendectomy just last week.
The 4th overall pick of the 2006 draft hasn’t missed a single game since barging into the PBA and has played a total of 641 consecutive games, a league record.
