TNT routs lackluster Brgy. Ginebra in Game 3

TNT ran over a lackluster Brgy. Ginebra side, 88-67, in Game 3 of the best-of-seven championship series in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup, Friday night at the Angeles University Foundation Sports Arena and Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The Tropang Giga, thus, avoided going down a 0-3 hole and trimmed the Gin Kings’ Finals lead to 1-2.
Roger Pogoy led five other TNT players in double-figures with 18 points to go along with 6 rebounds, 3 assists and a game-high 6 steals.
“Kailangan naming manalo eh. Masaya lang kami na we stuck to our rules. Kung ganun lang gagawin namin and stick to our rules, we will have a better chance of winning the game,” said TNT head coach Bong Ravena during the post-game press conference.
“Medyo minalas din ang Ginebra. Hindi sila nakaka-shoot. Kailangan na kailangan ‘yung sense of urgency. We really have to win this game. Or else, baka ma-sweep kami. Next game, ganun pa rin ang mentality namin,” he added.
LA Tenorio paced the Gin Kings with 19 points highlighted by 5-of-6 shooting from long distance. The 3-time PBA Finals MVP also contributed 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals to the losing cause. Japeth Aguilar added 15 while Stanley Pringle managed only 11 on a measly 4-of-14 shooting from the field.
The Tim Cone-mentored squad will try to bounce back and regain control of the series when the two teams clash anew in Game 4 which is scheduled on Sunday, December 6, 6:00 pm at the same venue.
