WATCH: A day in the life of LA Tenorio [First VLOG Entry]
All PBA teams have been cleared to proceed with scrimmages after the entire PBA delegation in the Clark bubble tested negative for COVID-19.
League commissioner Willie Marcial confirmed the welcome development on Thursday during the release of the team’s practice schedules.
“Everyone tested negative,” he said in Tagalog. “That means our closed-circuit bubble was effective. Everyone was really disciplined and everyone took good care of themselves.”
Teams have earlier cleared the first round of tests before departing for Clark and will subjected to regular swab tests every 2 weeks.
The Meralco Bolts and the Magnolia Hotshots practiced at the Angeles University Foundation Gym Thursday at 1:00pm while the Phoenix Fuel Masters and Terra Firma Dyip followed suit at 3:30pm. The TNT Tropang Giga will practice at 6:00pm, the last for the day.
A 30-minute break between practice sessions is to be strictly observed to sanitize the venue.
The AUF gym has two courts – with the one in the fourth floor serving as the main court for regular games and for practices when there are none scheduled. The one in the second floor is exclusively for practice only and was even equipped with the Philippine Arena flooring and retractable rings.
“Through the kindness of our friends from Iglesia ni Cristo, we have the Philippine Arena flooring that we can use as added practice court in our bubble. Our big thanks to them,” said Marcial.
Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel will have its first practice on Friday, from 9:30am to 11:30am, and then on Saturday from 7:00am at 9:00am.
