WATCH: Arvin Tolentino drains 2 triples in Bubble Clasico!

Brgy. Ginebra head coach Tim Cone is all praises for Gin Kings rookie Arvin Tolentino.

The 25-year old forward out of Far Eastern University finished with 6 points on 2-of-6 shooting from long distance to go along with 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocks in 17 minutes of action against Magnolia.

“Arvin has talent. I’ve been saying it since the day we drafted him. He is a talented kid,” said Cone who believes that the 10th overall pick in last year’s rookie draft will blossom in the team’s system.

“He is not just a shooter. He can put the ball on the floor, he can rebound, he had a nice block shot today. He is very long. He is really talented. I think his game can really grow with the kind of style that we play in,” he added.

Already armed with mean outside game, Cone is looking to expand Tolentino’s range in order for him to reach his full potential.

“In FEU, he was more of a stretch four and he would shoot occasional threes as a trailer. We are trying to expand his game. We are trying to get him to shoot threes from different angles, move without the ball,” said Cone.

“I think he can really be an asset. I can’t imagine what he’s going to be like a year or two from now. Just his first couple of games, he hasn’t had any practice but he is still making an impact.”
