WATCH: Awarding of Scottie Thompson as Best Player of PBA Season 47 Commissioner’s Cup!

Brgy. Ginebra duo Scottie Thompson and Justin Brownlee swept the top individual awards of the Season 47 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Thompson, the Season 46 Most Valuable Player, won the Davco-Best Player of the Conference honors as Brownlee took centerstage as the Bobby Parks’ coins.ph-Best Import awardee during rites held before Game 4 of the finals at the MOA Arena Friday.

The Gin Kings’ new face and resident reinforcement repeated their sweep of the awards in the Season 46 Governors’ Cup in April last year.

Thompson garnered 917 total points built around 459 statistical points, 409 from media votes and 49 from player votes en route to copping his second BPC trophy.

For his part, Brownlee piled up 1,289 total points to run away with his third Best Import win.

The soon-to-be Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player, who posted averages of 28 markers, 10.2 boards, 6.8 dimes, 1.2 steals and 1.7, was the runaway winner over Magnolia counterpart Nicholas Rakocevic (940) and SMB’s Devon Scott (788), whose teams both bombed out in the semifinals.

As three-time Best Import, Brownlee caught up with old rival Allen Durham as No. 2 in the all-time list behind the late Parks, who collared a record seven.
