Reigning Philippine Cup champion TnT Tropang Giga and Platinum Karaoke roared to three straight wins to lead the early quarterfinalists in the PBA 3×3 Lakas ng Tatlo’s opening salvo Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City

Inspired by the recent triumph of their 5-on-5 counterparts, the Tropang Giga’s 3×3 crew of Almond Vosotros, Lervin Flores, Samboy de Leon and Fil-Am Jeremiah nipped Limitless App, 21-9, Purefoods TJ Titans, 20-16, and Zamboanga Valientes, 21-18, to go 3-0 in the Pool A hostilities.

Equally impressive were the Platinum squad of Karl Dehesa, Chris de Chavez, JR Alabanza and Yutien Andrada, who also prevailed over the Valientes, 21-13, the Appmasters, 21-16, and the Titans, 21-14.

The Tropang Giga, who gave lady coach Mau Belen a winning start, and Platinum, one of three guest teams in the three-a-side inaugurals, face off today in their last elims assignment to dispute the No. 1 seeding from Pool A.

The Titans, who kicked off their bid with triumphs over the Appmasters, 17-15, and Zamboanga, 21-8, finished with 2-2 and took the third quarterfinal berth in the group.

Meanwhile, Meralco and San Miguel Beer racked up back-to-back victories to assure themselves of seats to the Last-8 with a game to spare in their respective groups.
