WATCH: Brgy. Ginebra Team Practice VLOG #1

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial will seek government approval of the same limited individual training PBA teams undertook in Metro Manila in February this year.

Marcial eyes the same setup of team workout by small batches in NCR which will be an option for teams, in addition to regular sessions and scrimmages they are allowed to do in areas outside NCR Plus, under less strict quarantine.

The league honcho is to communicate with Games and Amusements Board (GAB) chairman Baham Mitra for the JAO (Joint Administrative Order) where GAB is a signatory with the Department of Health (DOH) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

PBA ball clubs are still restricted from returning to their regular gyms in Metro Manila to hold scrimmages with the government announcing Monday night that the NCR Plus is staying under general community quarantine “with restrictions” from June 1-15.

“So kahit yung individual training na lang muna,” said Marcial, referring to the activities in NCR allowed them by the IATF February this year.

“It would be an option for the ball clubs if they don’t want to travel outside NCR everyday for their training,” Marcial added.
