WATCH: Gin Kings attend PBA media day!
All 12 teams took a short break from their respective buildups to take part in Thursday’s PBA Media Day, the pre-opening activity that that pro league is reviving for Season 47.
And of all participants, the contingent from new team Converge FiberXers were probably the most excited to meet the press and field questions from the press ahead of their awaited debut on Sunday.
“We’re happy na pwede na tayo mag-Media Day. It’s nice to be able to talk to all the press for them to also get to know some of the players,” said coach Jeff Cariaso in his first Media Day gig as Converge coach.
“This also brings excitement for our rookies, ito yung first PBA event nila. So hopefully during the opening, they’ll be a little bit more relaxed especially for us kasi we’re playing,” he added.
The FiberXers, the new kids on the block parading a young core, face Rain or Shine in the season curtain-raiser at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The squads came in full force for the first Media Day gig since pre-pandemic times in 2020, expressing readiness to get back into action and duke it out for the PBA’s crown jewel.
Barangay Ginebra, fresh from its Governors’ Cup romp, is aiming to make it two-in-a-row.
