WATCH: Kim Aurin Highlights [Brgy. Ginebra vs San Miguel | June 4, 2023]

PBA on Tour

San Miguel dismantled an equally depleted Brgy. Ginebra side, 90-78, Sunday night in the 2023 PBA on Tour at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Terrence Romeo once again shone the brightest for the Beermen by leading the scoring parade with 21 points in 32 minutes of action. The former three-time league scoring champ added 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals to his tally.

Out for the night for the Jorge Gallent-mentored squad were June Mar Fajardo, Vic Manuel, Marcio Lassiter, Robbie Herndon, Simon Enciso and Chris Ross.

The Gin Kings, on the other hand, missed the services of Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar, Jamie Malonzo, Christian Standhardinger, and Stanley Pringle in their first preseason tournament game.

The Beermen led by as many as 24 points and cruised to their second win in three starts.

“We are just here to improve, learn, and win,” said San Miguel head coach Jorge Gallent. “We learn from our mistakes, we improve from our mistakes, and that’s what we are going to do in the PBA on Tour.”

Jericho Cruz backstopped Romeo with 18 points while CJ Perez and Rodney Brondial added 15 and 12 points, respectively with the latter also compiling a game-high 16 rebounds. Allyn Bulanadi rounded up the team’s double-digit scorers with 10.

PBA aspirant Kim Aurin led Brgy. Ginebra with an impressive output of 18 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block. Aljon Mariano and Raymond Aguilar chipped in 17 and 14 markers, respectively.

The Gin Kings take a week off and return to action on Sunday, June 11, 7:30pm against the streaking Magnolia Hotshots at the same venue.
