Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, just like millions of Filipinos, is hooked on the game of basketball.
The local executive admitted that the sport is indeed one of his hobbies during an online interview with GMA Network’s Howie Severino.
And when asked about his favorite team, the son of showbiz personalities Vic Sotto and Connie Reyes said that while he doesn’t have a particular one in the NBA, he does have one in the PBA.
“I haven’t been keeping up lately, anyway wala naman NBA ngayon. But even before the NBA [season] was suspended, di ako masyado updated, But I really enjoy the game, it’s my favorite sport, my favorite hobby,” said Sotto.
“Well, Barangay Ginebra sa PBA. Ka-Barangay tayo, pero sa NBA wala naman,” he added.
The 30-year old former City councilor claimed that he played a lot of basketball during his high school days and in college but wasn’t good enough to reach the varsity level.
“Masyadong magaling ‘yong mga taga-Ateneo. But I played a lot of pick up balls. I wouldn’t say I’m good. Hindi naman ako nag-UAAP or anything else on that level,” said the brother-in-law of Magnolia veteran Marc Pingris.
