He shot 17-of-26 from the field including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc and also tallied 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in almost 38 minutes of superb play.

The crowd darlings led by as much as 28 en route to their 2nd win in 3 starts while dealing the Dragons their first loss after opening the conference with 4 consecutive wins.

“I don’t think we did anything special. We didn’t do any zones or stuff like that. We just played our basic defense, and played it really,. really well. I thought the intensity level of our team was sky-high,” said Brgy. Ginebra head coach Tim Cone during the post-game press conference.

“That was really the key to playing them. That felt like a Finals game to us. It really did. And I had that feeling all the way through the day. You asked earlier if we were motivated, and yes, we were motivated,” he added.

“That’s certainly the best part of what we did tonight, our defense. We really wanted to come out and try to defend.”

Jamie Malonzo wowed the crowed with several highlight plays and ended up with 17 points while Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle chipped in 11 and 10 markers, respectively.
