Despite the absence of Jamie Malonzo due to a strained calf, the Gin Kings rallied together and delivered a stellar performance to secure their sixth win of the season, improving their record to 6-3.
Key players such as Christian Standhardinger, Japeth Aguilar, and Scottie Thompson stepped up their game to fill the void left by Malonzo.
Standhardinger’s impressive stat line of 20 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in 42 minutes of play showcased his dominance on the court. Aguilar also made his presence known with 20 points and 10 rebounds, demonstrating his versatility on both ends of the floor.
Thompson contributed 17 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, displaying his all-around skills and defensive prowess against TNT’s Calvin Oftana.
Rookie Ralph Cu also made a significant impact with 12 points and six rebounds, while Nards Pinto came up clutch in the fourth quarter with five crucial baskets to help secure the win.
