Brgy. Ginebra outlasted NLEX in a fierce road showdown in Legazpi, Albay Saturday, pulling off a 103-99 decision and securing an outright Top 4 seeding in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs.

Stanley Pringle knocked in crucial free throws in the last five seconds, and the Kings sealed the win that guaranteed the team of at least fourth spot in the elims.

Tony Bishop, Maverick Ahanmisi and Christian Standhardinger fired their own clutch hits earlier as Ginebra punched an 8-3 closing mark in a tie with San Miguel Beer and Meralco.

Phoenix can make it a four-way tie from No. 2 to No. 5 with a win over TNT at the close of the elims Sunday.

But regardless of the result, Meralco will be No. 5 and will miss a twice-to-beat incentice in the quarters with an inferior quotient.

Their bid for a twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinals under heavy threat, the Gin Kings rose to the occasion and in the end pushed the Road Warriors at the edge.

With a closing 4-7 mark, the Road Warriors will kiss their bid goodbye with a win by the Tropang Giga (4-6) over the Fuel Masters.
